Our Mission
Greetings.
Language cannot be defined without culture.
In the book Silent Language, anthropologist Edward T. Hall argues that cultures can be grouped into two types: “low-context cultures” and “high-context cultures.” Low-context cultures largely use direct and explicit communications, while high-context cultures rely heavily on subtle, non-verbal cues.
In this formulation, Japan is a high-context culture, while many western countries are low-context. When people from low-context cultures speak to people from high-context ones, they easily get lost in the subtleties of the communication. Culture is such a complex matter.

Many foreign corporations choose Japan as their first global expansion area, lured by the opportunity the country presents as a unique and lucrative market. However, the gulf in communication styles can quickly become a huge obstacle.
We recognize that this represents a challenge for international business professionals who struggle to understand the nuances of interactions with their Japanese counterparts, even when they’re speaking the same language. Differences in cultural behaviors and expectations leave yawning gaps that can become filled with misunderstanding if not addressed.
With our business expertise and knowledge in cross-cultural communications, we assist companies to interact and negotiate effectively with Japanese businesses. We help them understand each other better, nurture stronger working relationships and grow their businesses together.
Since 2002, we have provided business facilitation services to companies across the globe. We currently represent corporations from numerous countries including the U.S., Canada, Australia, Germany, the UK, Belgium, and Hong Kong.
As the global market continues to expand, it is our mission to help clients overcome cultural and language barriers, so they can continue to grow and reach their fullest potential.
